TikTok couture
Is fashion just TikTok now?
If TikTok detects your interest in fashion, it becomes the internet's most up-to-date source of both inspiration and analysis, far more so than Pinterest, which is prone to repetition and monotony, and Instagram, which is too often influenced by people you already know.
It's a way of describing the convergence of trends that emerge on TikTok, whether from users experimenting with clothes they've thrifted from their local charity shop, people revisiting their youth's subcultural styles, or professional and amateur trend watchers combining aesthetic clues into a single theory of what's coming next.
Together, these TikTok videos define what mainstream culture considers stylish, which can influence what we choose to wear ourselves, thanks to the supercharged TikTok algorithm that sends viral material to millions of people in hours or days.

My Client Wants To Cancel – How Do I Keep Them On?
Client cancellations happen, but it doesn't mean you've failed! Here are some suggestions for dealing with these types of circumstances.
There are two cases to look at here. Firstly, those of you with a contract, secondly those of you in client work without a contract.
The contract should cover the following as a way for you to ensure you are paid for the work completed.
Giving notice. Does your client want to bail two days before a deadline? Or are they giving you the required two weeks’ notice for canceling?
Pay. Is there a clause that says they have to pay up for any work you’ve already provided?
Final deliverables. What does your client receive in the event of cancellation?
I have no contract!
We suggest you try and solve the issue so as to not lose the client.
Ask them transparently what they wish to change and what elements of the project they take issue with. This is ideally over zoom or email. Clarify that you have understood these queries and issues and will do your best to eliminate them. Perhaps even bringing an extra freelancer on board and sharing the budget if that fits and eases the tension as well as halves the workload.

The Fear of Ageing Will Make You Invisible
…Sure, Forbes 30 under 30 list is impressive, but the actions of these entrepreneurs would be just as impressive if they met the same goal by 40 or 50…
When we say the words ‘ageism’ we might think of 60 plus, or 50 plus, maybe even 40 plus people being disrespected simply for being older. However, in recent years particularly, it seems as if many of us are bearing the brunt of premature ageism as well as more general, traditional ageism.
